This year, say “No” to New Year’s Resolutions and say “Yes” to New Year’s Hopes and Dreams…
Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a very very Happy New Year!!! Greetings to all, far and wide, as we move into January 2022,..
On February 1st 2022 it will be the Chinese New Year of the Tiger! The Year of the Tiger is said to bring transition, discovery and renewed vitality… From a Western Astrological perspective, 2022 is being heralded as a “year of light”… A year of light that we each have the opportunity of stepping right into… Also, a firm emphasis has been placed upon The Arts and Creativity… This all sounds like great and good news!
Collectively speaking, most of us are very ready to put the past two years behind us and move forward into a new and more upbeat, freer and happier state of being…
So this year, as I sat pondering on the “New Year” and thought of the usual customs that myself and others take part in, I felt it was more important than ever to say, let’s say “No” to “New Year’s Resolutions” and let’s say “Yes” to “New Year’s Hopes, Dreams and Positive Aspirations”…
In this time as we go into 2022, maybe now more than ever, it is unhelpful and even destructive to be hard on ourselves… To feel we must “shape up” or “give up” and all the usual things that often come with “New Year’s Resolutions”… “New Year’s resolutions” can so easily bring with them a sense of having to do more, of giving something up, of not being currently enough… I know that we can achieve letting go of what does not serve us well in easier and simpler ways…
Indeed, we can do so, by simply relaxing and bringing in “Hopes and Dreams” instead… “New Year’s Hopes, Dreams and Positive Aspirations”, bring a very real sense of ease, hope and possibility… If you feel the words of the one vs the other, I think you will agree that saying “Yes” to “Hopes and Dreams” and “No” to “resolutions” brings to you a new energy and a renewed sense of self and spirit…
I decided this year to sit down and write down 20 “Hopes and Dreams for 2022″… Then I wondered if i could actually do that! How many of us could actually do that? As an alternative simply write down 3…
Today is Wednesday, December 29th… This year I choose not to be concerned about making my list of hopes and dreams on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, just sometime soon… I know it’s going to be Helpful, Exciting and Fun…
I hope that you will also find something useful in my thoughts and wish you excitement, joy and fun…
WIth Love,
Petrene Soames…
